The Team Ireland and Tullamore Paracyclist is preparing for this year's Paralympic Games.
Offaly's Josephine Healion is reflecting on her introduction to the sport of tandem cycling as she prepares for this year's Paralympic Games.
The Tullamore Cycling and Road Club rider, piloted by Eve McCrystal, landed fifth place at last week's UCI World Cup meeting in Ostend in Belgium, and believes she's on the right track to improve all the way up to Paris at the end of the summer.
Healion says she was introduced to tandem cycling by Vision Ireland at the age of 10, and took to the sport immediately.
She tells Midlands 103's David Hollywood she believes sport plays a vital part in children's development:
Josephine's full interview with David Hollywood can be heard after the 7pm news on Friday evening, on Health & Fitness.
Josephine Healion, along with her sister Jennifer Healion-Martin, was speaking at the Vision Ireland shop in Tullamore as they opened their 'new and improved' store on Patrick Street.
