Flying Home for Christmas with Shannon Airport and Midlands 103 Terms & Conditions

• Terms and Conditions for Midlands 103 Competition in Association with Shannon Airport.   
  1. How to Enter:
  •    No purchase or entry fee is required to enter this competition.
  •    Entries must be submitted online through the official Midlands 103 website at www.midlands103.com.
  •    Entrants will be required to nominate a person currently living abroad whom they would like to bring home for Christmas.
  •    By submitting an entry, participants confirm they have obtained consent from the person they are nominating, where applicable.

  2. Follow-Up Communication:
  •    Midlands 103 may contact entrants via phone, text message, or electronic messaging platforms to request additional information to support the submission.
  •    Failure to respond to these requests may result in disqualification from the competition.

  3. Eligibility:
  •    The competition is open to legal residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
  •    The selected winner must also be 18 years of age or older.
  •    Employees of Midlands 103, Shannon Airport, their affiliates, sponsors, agents, and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter or win.

  4. Prize Winner Travel Requirements:
  •    The winner will have the option to travel from select airports in Boston, New York, or any UK airport serviced by Shannon Airport. The final destination must be Shannon Airport.
  •    UK airports - London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh.
  •    All travel must be completed by 25th January 2025.

  5. Prize Conditions:
  •    The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
  •    Flights are non-refundable and cannot be amended or changed once booked.
  •    The prize is subject to availability, and specific flight dates and times cannot be guaranteed.
  •    Accompanying passengers must meet the same travel deadlines as the prize winner.

  6. Documentation:
  •    All prize winners and accompanying passengers must hold valid passports that comply with both the country of departure and Ireland’s entry requirements.
  •    Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended return date.
  •    Copies of the passport identification page for both the winner and passengers must be provided upon booking.
  •    The names provided during booking must match exactly the names on the passengers’ valid travel documents. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the prize.

  7. Additional Terms:
  •    Midlands 103’s Standard Competition Terms and Conditions apply to this competition and must be read in conjunction with these specific terms.
  •    Midlands 103 reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.

  Prize Details:

  Winners:
  •    A total of eight winners will be selected at the sole discretion of Midlands 103 based on the merits of the submission.
  Prize 1: (1 Winner)
  •    A pair (2) of return flights to Shannon Airport from either Boston or New York.
  •    Includes two lounge passes for the Boru Executive Lounge at Shannon Airport.
  Prize 2: (1 Winner)
  •    A pair (2) of return flights to Shannon Airport from either Boston or New York.
  •    Includes two lounge passes for the Boru Executive Lounge at Shannon Airport.
  Prize 3: (1 Winner)
  •    A pair (2) of return flights to Shannon Airport from any UK airport served by Shannon Airport.
  •    Includes two lounge passes for the Boru Executive Lounge at Shannon Airport.
  Prize 4: (1 Winner)
  •    A pair (2) of return flights to Shannon Airport from any UK airport served by Shannon Airport.
  •    Includes two lounge passes for the Boru Executive Lounge at Shannon Airport.

  Runner-Up Prizes (3–6):
  •    A Christmas Duty-Free Hamper.

  General Provisions:
  •    Data Protection: By entering, participants consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the Midlands 103 Privacy Policy. Personal data will be used for the purposes of administering this competition and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for prize fulfilment.
  •    Publicity: By accepting the prize, winners agree to participate in reasonable publicity as requested by Midlands 103, including the use of their name, likeness, and entry story for promotional purposes without further compensation.
  •    Limitation of Liability: Midlands 103 and Shannon Airport will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, arising from any event connected with this competition or the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  •    Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

• •    Prize winners can choose a return date of their choice (up to October 2025).
  However, all flight bookings will need to be made by Friday 29th November. All flights are subject to availability.
  Prizes are as offered, and no cash alternative will apply.
  •    Prizes are not transferable.
  •    Competition entrants must be 18 years of age and over.
  •    Competition entries must be entered on the platform used for the promotion.
  •    Your details may be added to the Shannon Airport Group database to keep you up to date on news, information and offers from the Shannon Airport Group. More information on the Shannon Airport Group Privacy Policy is available here.   
  •    The Shannon Airport Group is not responsible for any delay or cancellation of any element of the prize or for any inability of the prize winner to take up the prize.
  •    The winner will be selected at random from the qualifying entries.
  •    The Shannon Airport Group decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  •    Neither the Shannon Airport Group nor its suppliers accept any responsibility whatsoever for any death, injury or other damage, loss, expense or liability arising as a result of taking a prize. The Shannon Airport Group has no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in any Shannon Airport or the Shannon Airport Group competition or any of the prizes rewarded.
  •    Entry to a competition shall be deemed full and unconditional acceptance of the Shannon Airport Group terms and conditions.
  •    Prizes are subject to availability and in the event of unforeseen circumstances the Shannon Airport Group reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute alternative prizes of equal value.
  •    The Shannon Airport Group competitions are not open to employees (either staff or contractors) of the Shannon Airport Group or any of its subsidiary companies.
  •    Participation in any of the Shannon Airport Group competitions denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions which may be advertised. 
  •    Use of a false name or address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize.
  •    The Shannon Airport Group reserves the right at its sole discretion to change prize details without notice and all prizes, including holiday travel dates, are subject to availability.
  •    The Shannon Airport Group reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any contestant for any reason whatsoever at its sole discretion.
  •    The Shannon Airport Group does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem in any network, system, server, provider, or otherwise which may result in entries being lost or not properly registered or recorded and contestants hereby waive any claim whatsoever for any losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any such problems.
  •    Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use the relevant winner's name, hometown and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion or publicity in any media without additional compensation and prize winners agree to take part in such reasonable related promotional activities as the Shannon Airport Group may require.
  •    Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish Law.
  •    Other terms and conditions may apply in relation to the flight and/or flight arrangements.
  •    Flight prizes are valid for a limited time only. Winner must be 18 years of age or over and hold a valid passport.
